Annual General Meeting--Wednesday, October 20th, 7 to 9pm. McNabb Community Center.
The Annual General Meeting this year is going to be a time of recognition and celebration, with a little business mixed in. We will be taking time to acknowledge a variety of supporters who have helped LNO achieve it's goals throughout the 2003-2004 year. Please join us for a chance to socialize and recognize htis past years accomplishments. Please call Pam at the office if you are planning on attending.
Autumn Celebration! Saturday October 23rd, 7 to 9:30pm at Dovercourt Recreation Center
-- Boy do we love to dance!! Our LNO dances are full of good music, good friends, new friends, and good food. Come and join us for our Autumn Celebration and dance up a storm. Don't forget to invite your friends - everyone is welcome! Call the office if you need more details. We will be accepting $2 donations at the door.
"The Heart of the Matter" Workshop Series
Securing a future plan ensuring the safety and well being of your loved one with a disability is essential for real peace of mind. This workshop series is based on two publications (copies will be given to you at the the first workshop)

A Future Planning Workbook -- An LNO publication
The topics covered will support you while you answer the most difficult questions you may face with regards to your loved one.-"who will care for him/her the way I do? How can I be sure she/he will be safe? What can I do to sustain his /her happiness?". There are six sections in this two part workshop series:
Part 1 "The Heart"
Clarifying Your Vision
Building Relationships
Controlling the Home Environment
Part 2 "The Matter"
Preparing for Decision Making
Developing Your Will & Estate Plan
Securing Your Plan
Presentors will include Joy Ramjitsingh (our facilitator co-ordinator), Family members, Facilitators, Network Members, Focus People, Board Members, Guest Financial Planners and Guest Lawyers.
The workshops take place in two parts, held in the board room at the LNO office: 406-1390 Prince of Wales Dr. You have the choice of attending two Tuesday evenings, or two Saturday mornings.
Saturday November 13th 10am - 12pm
& Saturday November 27th 10am - 12pm
OR
Tuesday November 16th 7 - 9pm
& Tuesday December 7th 7 - 9pm
The cost is: $30 for non-members, $20 for 2004 Members of LNO
(This includes coffee/tea/snack and BOTH Publications)
