Fran Ages Social Fund Event--MiniGolf-Sept.16th
Join us for the Kickoff Event,on September 16, of the brand new Fran Ages Social Fund Recreation projects, a Special afternoon of MiniGolf, with Pizza party.
Please call the office by Sept 14 to reserve your spot, we need to know how many will be attending!!
The event will start at 3:30pm at the Minigolf located at the corner of Merivale and Colonade. golfing followed by a Pizza party, all for Free for Members(the focus person will be free, other members of the family ,if they choose to participate, will have to pay), funded by our new Fran Ages Social Fund. Family Social Club--Next Dance--Sept.30
Join us for our Family social club, our next Dance on September 30, to be held again at the Dovercourt Community Center, 7:00pm to 9:30pm.,
Dancing for all the young at heart, and a chance for parents to socialize and share in friendly conversation.

PLAN Ties that Bind Workshop-- Oct. 14th
Special Event -- The Ties That Bind - Workshop
This fall the Plan Institute's Ties That Bind is coming to communities across Canada.
In Ottawa, a full day workshop will be presented, focusing on an Ottawa family as it deals with the wide range of challenges faced by families of people with disabilities.
Workshop participants will also be invited to an additional morning workshop on Saturday, October 28th to provide an additional opportunity to raise questions with legal and financial planning professional advisors.

When is it?
Saturday, October 14, 2006, from 9:00am until 3:30pm
What will it cost?
Fees will be $30.00 per person ($40.00 per couple) and will include lunch, 2 coffee and juice breaks and handout materials.
Who is involved?
The National Film Board of Canada, Force Four Entertainment, Government of Canada, Canadian Abilities Foundation, Canadian Down Syndrome Society, Inclusion Press, L' Arche Canada, VON Canada and the Plan Institute.
Lifetime Networks Ottawa is hosting the Ottawa event.

Annual General Meeting--Oct 25th
Come out to our Annual General Meeting, set for Wednesday, Oct. 25th --It starts sharp at 7:00pm in the Party Room of the building at 1375 Prince of Wales.

Our social events committee has been really organized this year, we have already scheduled and booked our last event of the Fall Social Season-- our Pre Christmas Dance on December 2. Put this in your schedule now, before you get booked up!! Location is Dovercourt as usual, 7pm to 9:30pm, see you there!!
