Future Planning Consultations

           LNO future planning consultations are an excellent opportunity to identify, and plan for, the kind of future that your family member with a disability wants to have. Your consultant during the future planning process walks you through the following steps:

1. Exploring your loved one's chosen future vision, complete with measurable goals to attain and a game plan to achieve such goals.
   
   
2. Describing the personal network around your loved one, identifying the people who will play important roles in the life of your family member with a disability.
   
   
3. Identifying housing options, both present and those that may need to be created to best meet the wishes of your loved one.
   
   
4. Assistance in decision making, including discussing legal information to help assure that the wishes of you and your loved ones will be addressed.
   
   
5. Wills and estate planning, with input from professional advisors to create appropriate and sustainable legal and financial arrangements.
   
   
6. Securing your plan by setting out who will implement your plan, monitor your loved one's quality of life, and advise your trustees/administrators on his/her behalf.
