The website explains what Participation House is, and other details of interest to organizations that may want to duplicate the concept. Microboards and Individualized Funding
The Individualized Funding Coalition of Ontario The coalition in Ontario working for the option to move government funding away from "transfer payment agencies" and directly to the individual, to ensure the supports/services and quality of life that are needed are obtained. Guelph-"Personal Entities" Focus on Microboards An overview of the concept of personal entities ( microboards) for obtaining "individualized funding" for persons with disabilities. This material was presented at a seminar in Guelph. Of particular interest are the draft Articles of Incorporation, which could be used to create a microboard in Ontario. Vela Microboard Association The Website of the Vela Microboard organization. This is centered in B.C. but their innovative idea continues to spread! "Microboards-Design and Development"

Family Alliance Ontario
Family Alliance Ontario is an alliance of citizens that offers knowledge, tools and networking opportunities to individuals with disabilities and their families to assist them to realize a vision that includes having valued relationships, choice and control in their lives, and enables inclusion through meaningful contribution and participation in their communities A group of families in Lambton County created the Real People Campaign over two years ago. The stories contained on the brand new website are quite compelling. Our Mission: To gain the supports needed for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families to plan for and enact their goals of living in the community.
United Families of Eastern Ontario Family Respite/Summer Camps Animals, fresh air, open countryside, beautiful rolling hills – this is the setting for a very unique and refreshing respite place for adults with developmental disabilities. Ashley and her family visited at Easter to meet the owner Cristina Milner. The site is called Heartfit Farm and it’s located not far from Belleville.
