Learn more about this new federally registered savings plan delivered by the Government of Canada
· The Disability Tax Credit is meant to counteract the costs of disability. People who are approved for the credit are eligible for the Registered Disability Savings Plan.
· Having an RDSP does not impact Federal Benefits
· In most provinces and territories, money in an RDSP does not impact existing provincial social assistance support programs
· You may be eligible to receive grants and bonds of up to $4,500 depending on your contribution and family income
· Even with no financial contribution, you may be eligible to receive up to $1,000 every year to invest

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM:
The purpose of the Person-Directed Planning Symposium is to:
· Share information about the core values, principles and functions of person-directed planning
· Understand and identify the partnerships that support planning for meaningful change
· Explore what is working well in person-directed planning
· Share ideas about what best supports people with a developmental disability to share their gifts and to have a meaningful life in their communities
The goal of the symposium is to promote a deepened and common understanding across the province about person-directed planning.

TAMIR PRESENTS
"JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNOCOLOR DREAMCOAT"
To mark our 25th anniversary, Tamir is presenting a full theatrical production of the Broadway hit "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". For the very first time a professionally managed integrated theatrical production will be staged in which people with developmental disabilities perform together with actors from professional and amateur theatre. The performance will take place at Centrepointe Theatre on Thursday, May 13th, 2010 at 7:00 PM, preceded by a reception in the Atrium at 5:15 PM, graciously sponsored by Creative Kosher Catering.
Tickets to the performance can be purchased through the Centrepointe Theatre box office at www.centrepointetheatre.com or (613) 580-2701. Performance tickets are $36 for adults and $18 for students and seniors 65 and over. Tickets to the reception are an additional $36 per person and can be purchased online at www.tamir.ca, or via the Tamir office at (613) 725-3519.
Tamir has been providing high quality and innovative residential and other services to people with developmental disabilities in Ottawa for the past 25 years. The production of "Joseph" will symbolize our growth and development of the organization and continue Tamir's leadership in promoting inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all walks of life.
