Fran Ages Recreational Fund (FARF)
Thanks to an innovative birthday gift from LNO parent, Fran Ages, our young people can now look forward to a more interesting and varied social life.
Feeling that she did not want anything for herself, Fran decided that she wanted to celebrate her birthday with a gift for others. She decided that she wanted to do something to lessen the loneliness experienced by many of our family members with a disability. By starting a fund that would be used to provide recreational opportunities for these individuals, Fran's birthday present will ensure that they have a chance to participate in a variety of activities, particularly during those long, dark, isolating winter months.
LNO is truly fortunate to have received this generous and imaginative gift, which will be a source of pleasure for so many people in the years to come.
